Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dried granulated garlic
  • ½ tablespoon dried minced onion
  • ½ tablespoon course salt
  • ½ tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • olive oil extra virgin

Instructions

  • I've you don't have a ½ tablespoon measuring spoon, then ½ tablespoon = 1½ teaspoons.
  • Measure each spice and add it to a storage jar. [I group my spices with the corresponding measuring spoon so that I don't forget where I'm at when making multiple servings.]
  • Shake jar to combine spices.

To Serve

  • For a small appetizer plate or bowl, start by adding 1 tablespoon of the seasoning blend to the plate and covering it completely with 3 tablespoons of a high quality olive oil. Adjust quantities for a larger plate or to taste.
  • Stir spice seasoning blend and olive oil. Let sit for 10 minutes for flavors to blend. Serve with a crusty baguette or bread of your choice.

Notes

One serving is fills a 4 ounce jar about ⅔ full. This leaves plenty of room to shake the spices to combine.
