Four ingredient guacamole is quick, fresh and made with just avocado, red onion, lime and cilantro. It is an easy go to for chips, tacos or anything that needs a boost.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pits and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl. Mash with a fork or masher to your desired consistency.
Add the lime juice, diced red onion and chopped cilantro, then mix well.
Taste and season with salt, if desired. Start with ½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon, adding more if needed. Guacamole typically needs a good amount of salt unless you are serving it with salty tortilla chips.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for about an hour to let the flavors come together.
Notes
Note: I recommend 3-4 medium to large avocados or 4-5 small avocados.
