White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bars

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bars are a chewy, buttery blondie bar that combines the crunch of macadamia nuts and the creaminess of white chocolate.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup salted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • cups all purpose flour (150 g)
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (omit if nuts are salted)
  • 4 ounce white chocolate bar roughly chopped
  • ¾ cup macadamia nuts roughly chopped

Instructions
 

  • Take out the butter and egg to bring them to room temperature.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
  • Add flour, baking powder and salt to a small bowl and set it aside
  • Chop white chocolate and macadamia nuts and set aside.
  • Combine butter, white sugar and brown sugar in mixer and cream until thoroughly combined.
  • Add the egg and vanilla to the sugar mixture and mix until combined.
  • Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Fold in the white chocolate and macadamia nuts.
  • Bake at 325° for 28-32 minutes Check at 28 minutes. I usually bake mine for 30 minutes.
